    utterly hatstand

Anyone tried one of these? I reckon it's as mad as a sack full of ferrets, but it has the right number of gear.

Nice brochure, but I wonder if sales ever got into double figures? A piece of gimmicky nonsense - and $15,000 for the tandem!!!!

Have you seen that silly (or is that Surly) Pugsley thing? It's nearly as stupid. First rule of product development; just because you can doesn't mean you should.

For those of us with a serious snow season (not just rain), the Pugsley is a very practical bike if you like trail riding. That thing maintains its grip on off camber ice paths like nobody's business, and it floats on soft snow much much better than any 2.2" tire could ever hope to. I'm sure it has other applications, I can only speak for its cold weather usability. Just because someone can't use it doesn't mean it can't be used by someone else.
